Accessibility Statement · effective 8 September 2026

Local food should be easier for everyone to access.

This statement covers the Foodforfolk website and the iOS and Android apps as they are released.

Our commitment

Foodforfolk aims to make its services perceivable, operable, understandable and robust for people with a wide range of access needs. The product is designed with keyboard operation, meaningful structure, readable contrast, visible focus, scalable text, descriptive labels and alternatives to gesture-only interactions in mind.

Accessibility standard

Our target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. The controlled-beta service is still being tested and has not yet completed an independent, whole-service accessibility audit, so Foodforfolk does not currently claim full WCAG 2.2 AA conformance.

Known limitations

Some vendor-supplied images or descriptions may not yet provide equivalent detail. Interactive maps and third-party payment, identity or sign-in journeys may present limitations outside Foodforfolk's direct control. Where a map is difficult to use, the marketplace should also provide list-based discovery; support can help with an alternative route through a task.

Feedback and assistance

If something is inaccessible, email [email protected]. Include the page or app screen, what you were trying to do, and any assistive technology used if you are comfortable doing so. Foodforfolk will acknowledge the issue and provide a reasonable alternative where possible while it is investigated.

Reviewing this statement

Accessibility is checked during feature development and responsive testing. This statement will be updated after material platform changes, accessibility audits, or when a significant limitation is identified or resolved.
