Nondiscrimination Policy · effective 8 September 2026

Everyone should be treated fairly and with dignity.

Foodforfolk does not tolerate unlawful discrimination, harassment or exclusion in use of the marketplace.

Who and what this covers

This policy applies to Foodforfolk, shoppers, vendors and content or communications submitted through the service. Access, ordering, fulfilment, support and marketplace participation must not be refused or treated less favourably because of a protected characteristic under applicable law, including the Equality Act 2010: age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage or civil partnership, pregnancy or maternity, race, religion or belief, sex or sexual orientation.

Marketplace conduct

Harassment, hateful content, discriminatory listing conditions and requests that another participant discriminate are prohibited. Vendors should make reasonable adjustments where required and communicate legitimate fulfilment constraints—such as delivery area, capacity, licensing, allergen risk or product availability—accurately and consistently rather than using them as a pretext for discrimination.

Reporting

Report a concern privately to [email protected], identifying the relevant listing, order or communication. Foodforfolk may request further information, preserve necessary evidence and take proportionate interim action while reviewing an urgent safety concern.

Response

Depending on the evidence and seriousness, Foodforfolk may give guidance, remove content, restrict functionality, suspend or close an account, or refer a matter to an appropriate authority. Retaliation against someone who raises a good-faith concern or assists an investigation is prohibited.
